Here are a few shots of Downtown KC. I am endeavoring to shoot on a more regular basis and to that end I have been exploring and photographing the city some.

Here are a few more shots from our trip to Seattle in January. My sister in law was kind enough to go downtown with me despite the fact that the day we went it was rather rainy.

2009 has ended in a flurry of wintry cold. Looking ahead to 2010 I have set myself quite a few goals both in my photography and my personal life. I don’t like to think of them as “resolutions” per se because that can leave things ambiguous and I know from personal experience when my goals are vague they don’t get accomplished. I am keeping my goals measurable (as much as possible) so I can plan the steps to their accomplishment and I am able to evaluate myself as I go on a pass/fail grade.
What are my long term goals?
What can I do in 2010 to accomplish them?
What can I do in January to work toward success?
How about today?
One of my goals for this year is that I intend to make my blog a little more personal and to shoot/blog on a weekly basis at least. To that end I took a walk last night around sunset with nothing but my Lensbaby. We are visiting Jennifer’s parents in Seattle this week and it is beautiful here.

When Amanda contacted me about doing this shoot she said she wanted it to be “urban maternity.” So we went to the most run down place I know: The Westbottoms. Amanda was a lot of fun. She was ready and willing to climb or sit on anything.

I recently purchased myself a Holga. For those of you unfamiliar with Holgas they are cheap, crappy, inexpensive plastic cameras. They are unreliable, inconsistent and unprofessional. And I love them so.
